The European Union has announced today (5/19/21) that they have agreed to allow quarantine-free travel for vaccinated tourists and visitors from countries considered safe. At Zephyr, we seek out opportunities to connect with nature and leave our day-to-day stressors behind – in fact, as an adventure travel business, it’s one of the main reasons our company was even created. Though we love the activities of hiking, biking, paddling, and skating, what we enjoy most is that we get to Continue Reading →
Is it safe to ski during COVID? The risks might be higher than you think. For six months, I have been telling our traveler community it is not travel itself that is the highest risk. It is what you do when you get there. And in terms of activities, I have extolled the benefits of Continue Reading →

Back in 1997, I founded Zephyr Adventures as the world’s first inline skating tour company. Over the years, we evolved our offerings to include more and more activities such as hiking, biking, and kayaking.
This year, we decided it was time to not only evolve our tour offerings (check out our new Specialty Adventure Category) but to evolve the Zephyr brand and logo as well.
It’s that time of year again when we roll out the next year’s new tour schedule. And this year, as you’ve probably already noticed, we’re going a step further by rolling out a brand new logo (more to come on our thought process behind the update) and website! Our new website makes it easier to Continue Reading →
The term tourist can sometimes have a negative connotation and can be seen as someone who visits only the most popular attractions, buys souvenirs from gimmicky trinket shops, and may or may not have any clue about the local culture. Travelers seek out authentic experiences. They want to learn more about the local culture and Continue Reading →
