At Zephyr, we offer a personal and personable experience from helping you choose which trip is right for you to the friendly guides leading your tour to our genuine interest in your feedback once your trip has concluded so that we can continue to provide the best service possible.
We are a boutique tour company that offers a number of trips each year that are hand-selected by our team of passionate and experienced travel experts – Allan, Kelly, Sarah, Katie and Stephanie.
Our small but mighty team allows us to give you the individual attention and care that you deserve. We pride ourselves in treating each client as if they were a close friend looking to plan a memorable and fun vacation.
Allan Wright, Owner and Founder
With Zephyr since 1997
Allan is Zephyr’s owner and founder and has been running adventure vacations since 1997 when Zephyr first created the inline skate touring industry.
Allan is a native of Seattle and has lived in eleven cities in four countries on three continents during his many traveling years. His passion for travel never ceases to grow as you can find him guiding a few of our tours each year.
When asked about his life dreams, Allan will tell you, “To have a significant impact on other people and the world and to have fun doing it.” Allan is a bit of an idealist.
Kelly Heaton, Zephyr United Operations Manager
With Zephyr since 2021
Kelly grew up in Colorado and moved to Montana in 2004 looking for more mountains and more adventures. Upon arrival, she found both and spent several years guiding educational trips in and around Glacier National Park.
Kelly serves as the operations manager for the three Zephyr United tour brands, and is responsible for our newest tour company, Travel Montana. You will also find her happily guiding a variety of our active tours throughout the globe.
Kelly is happiest in the great outdoors, hiking and backpacking up the mountains in the summer and skiing down them in the winter. Kelly lives in Red Lodge with her husband Matt, the local game warden, their son Connor, and two four-legged friends.
Stephanie Vidergar, Marketing Manager
With Zephyr since 2022
Stephanie is a proud Colorado native, fortunate to have grown up in the wilds of the Rocky Mountains where she learned to ski, backpack, and rock climb. The wilderness is where she finds the time and space to nourish her being.
Stephanie manages all things marketing for the three distinct tour brands under the Zephyr United umbrella. Her background in marketing and communications includes many years and various gigs in the active and adventure travel industries. She’ll also be joining the guide team and looks forward to meeting you soon out on a tour.
Stephanie’s favorite way to get ‘out’ is through travel, and she is most proud to be an *adventure* mama, venturing and finding escapades to share with her two daughters. She lives with her husband Cyril, girls Amelia and Nora, and fluffy rescue dog Harris, in Fort Collins, CO.
Sarah Wohlner, Taste Vacations Manager
With Zephyr since 2018
Sarah fell in love with travel and adventure at a very young age. She grew up in California, went to college in Colorado, and now resides in California and Montana. She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, camping, rafting, skiing, and almost anything else the outdoors have to offer.
Sarah manages Taste Vacations and is responsible for the operations of food, wine, and beer tours all over the world. A perfect fit because in her free time Sarah posts culinary videos and content on her blog and social media. She loves to be in the kitchen trying out new recipes inspired by her travels.
Katie Schroepfer, Zephyr Adventures Manager
With Zephyr since 2022
Katie is originally from Minnesota and grew up camping, hiking, riding bikes, and spending all of her time outdoors. She graduated with a B.S. in Communications and lived in Fargo, North Dakota before moving to Colorado to pursue her career in craft beer and marketing while operating a small bakery.
Katie is excited to take on the challenge of managing the tour operations for Zephyr Adventures. She’ll be ready to answer your questions and get you properly booked for your next big trip. You’ll have the chance to meet her soon as she will also be heading out to guide a few tours.
Katie is passionate about animals, the outdoors, travel and getting others out to experience the awe of the world in whatever way they can. If you’re in Colorado, there’s a good chance you’ll run into Katie on one of the many great hiking trails with her favorite hiking buddy, her Catahoula dog, Ben.
