We are a boutique tour company that offers a number of trips each year that are hand-selected by our team of passionate and experienced travel experts – Allan, Sarah, Katie and Stephanie.
Our small but mighty team allows us to give you the individual attention and care that you deserve. We pride ourselves in treating each client as if they were a close friend looking to plan a memorable and fun vacation.
Allan Wright, Owner and Founder
With Zephyr since 1997
Allan is Zephyr’s owner and founder and has been running adventure vacations around the world since 1997.
Allan is a native of Seattle and has lived in eleven cities in four countries on three continents. His visit list is up to 66 countries – as of this writing! His passion for travel never ceases, and you will find him guiding a few of our tours each year. In addition to travel and outdoor activities, Allan’s other passions include parenting his daughter and coaching volleyball.
When asked about his life dreams, Allan will tell you, “To have a significant impact on other people and the world and to have fun doing it.” Allan is a bit of an idealist.
Stephanie is proud to have grown up in the wilds of the Rocky Mountains, where she learned to ski, backpack, and rock climb.
Stephanie manages all things marketing for the three distinct tour brands under the Zephyr United umbrella. Her background in marketing and communications includes many years and various gigs in the active and adventure travel industries. She is also part of the guide team and looks forward to meeting you soon out on a tour.
Stephanie’s favorite way to get ‘out’ is through travel, and she is most proud to be an adventure mama, venturing and finding escapades to share with her two daughters. She lives with her family and fluffy rescue dog in Fort Collins, CO.
Sarah fell in love with travel and adventure at a young age. She grew up in California, went to college in Colorado, and is now based in New York City. However, one of her favorite places is Montana for its small-town charm and outdoor adventures. An outdoor enthusiast at heart, she loves hiking, camping, rafting, skiing, skate skiing, and just about anything that gets her outside.
Sarah manages Taste Vacations and is responsible for the operations of food, wine, and beer tours all over the world. A perfect fit because in her free time, Sarah posts culinary videos and content on her social media. She loves to be in the kitchen trying out new recipes inspired by her travels.
In 2026 Sarah is guiding a private wine tour in Mexico, and a Pickleball Adventure in the Caribbean (coming soon).
Katie grew up on Minnesota lakes before spending a decade in Colorado’s mountains, building her career in the craft beer industry while exploring every trail she could find. Now based in Southern Oregon, she’s the Tour Operations Manager and occasional trip guide, coordinating global adventures while managing her small farm of chickens, dogs, cats, and whatever other animals she adds next.
When she’s not working, Katie’s hiking, trail running, camping, or chasing every sunrise and sunset possible. She’s training to volunteer for animal crisis response and will soon be married to someone who shares her love for adventuring outdoors.
