Europe is open for travel.
After some confusion in late August when the European Union removed the United States from its “safe list” of countries from which travelers can easily enter the EU, things have settled down and travel is on. Consider this:
- We recently completed an Ireland tour
- Yesterday we started a Bavaria Hiking & Beer Adventure in Germany
- Tomorrow we begin a tour in Italy
- On Monday we begin a tour in Belgium
Most of our travelers and guides are telling us entry is simple and crowds are low. Some are also telling us COVID seems in relative control. Consider this from one of our Italy tour participants, who is from the US but currently living in Italy.
“We find that the Italians take COVID seriously and while they are relaxed by nature everyone is respectful about wearing masks , sanitizing hands and checking vaccination cards. Things seem to be safe and well under control here.Travel safe.”
At the same time, we are attempting and we caution all travelers to be on top of local regulations. For our Belgium tour, we were caught unawares of a rule change that required our travelers to get tested at a specific location using a code sent to them via text upon arrival.
Still interested to travel this fall? We have space on our upcoming Puglia Biking Adventure (October 17 – 22), Tuscany Walking Adventure (October 24 – 30), and Tuscany Wine & Music Adventure (November 1 – 5).
