- Amazing Scenery. Colorado is truly a gorgeous state. During this active beer tour, you’ll hike Boulder’s famous Flatiron Mountains, bike along the 30-mile Boulder trail network, and explore Rocky Mountain National Park and Brainerd Lake National Recreation Area (and we’re just getting started!) –All unique locations that have one thing in common- a stellar reputation for beauty.
- Explore, explore! Each day of the five day, four night tour includes a hike or bike to explore Colorado’s rich natural treasures and a visit to a brewery. Meet brewers, discover new beer styles, and learn more about this interesting craft. Then, after the sun falls, enjoy a much deserved meal at one of Colorado’s fine brew pubs and discover a range of local culinary flavors.
- Bring on the GABF. So you’ve hiked, biked, and brewed… now it’s time to hit one of the most famous beer events on the planet: the Great American Beer Festival. With over 2,000 beers available for sampling, you’re sure to find a flavor to please your senses. Are your friends going to be jealous or what?
- All are Welcome. Like all of our active tours, we’ve put a great deal of effort into planning the tour to ensure guests of nearly all ability and interest levels enjoy an equally fabulous time. When possible, we’ve incorporated multiple routes that range in difficulty- making this a great tour for couples of differing ability and interest levels. –And let’s get one thing straight: you don’t have to be a beer connoisseur to partake in this tour. A healthy curiosity is all you need!
During the course of five days you’ll experience fresh flavors from at least six distinctive breweries and enjoy a specially prepared beer pairing dinner. Brewery visits include Walnut Brewery, Boulder Beer Company, New Belgium Brewery, Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing, Estes Park Brewery, and Wynkoop Brewery (Colorado’s first brewpub.)
Carefully selected accommodations ensure a comfortable, well-rested night. Lodging includes Millenium Hotel in Boulder, the Armstrong Hotel in Fort Collins (the only remaining historic hotel located in Old Town,) and the recently remodeled Stanley Hotel, built in 1923 and still the premier property in the Rocky Mountain National Park area.
