Yellowstone & Grand Teton Beer Adventure Is Good For You

Numerous studies show that a measured amount of beer in your diet is good for your health. Adults who enjoy a few beers every now and then have a lower risk of dementia – Journal of the American Medical Association. A drink or two a day might be linked to better cognitive function in women – American Heart Association. Frequent drinking in moderation may protect men from death due to cardiovascular disease – The National Institutes of Health.

Yes, beer is good for our health in moderation but that is not the only reason we should drink it. Beer also has ceremonial benefits and it is good for us to celebrate – even the small things in life. “That was a productive day at work”, beer. “I mowed the lawn”, beer. “The view from the top of the hike was awesome”, you know it. “That was an epic whitewater raft trip”, I’m getting thirsty!

The Yellowstone – Grand Teton Beer Adventure has it right. It takes the “work” and the “mowing of the lawn” out of the equation and it prioritizes the more important “fun” reasons to celebrate – adventure!

Our days are filled with activity, travel and exploration and our glasses are filled with beer. The itinerary offers great hiking including one of our favorite trails along the rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone in The Park. We raft epic whitewater on the Gallatin River. We bike paved trails below the Tetons in Grand Teton National Park and later we coast or “fly” down the incredible “Beertooth” pass.  Two-thirds of the world’s geothermal features are in Yellowstone and these include its many geysers. We take the opportunity to raise our Old Faithful Ale to celebrate Old Faithful as she erupts.

After a morning and afternoon of healthy activity, travel and exploration its time explore the health benefits of beer. This tour offers a unique opportunity to spend time with the local brewers at their breweries in the place they call home. Here they show us how they use certain ingredients and brewing techniques to give their award winning brews that unique taste and style. They tell us about the craft beer industry as a whole and the specific challenges they face as a small brewer here in the rockies. In the evening, they join us for our beer and food pairing dinners to share their passion for the craft beer industry via casual conversation, good food and great local craft beer.

If the United States of America would have invented beer that would surely go down in history as one of our best ideas but we didn’t. The Egyptians invented beer. We perfected it. We did invent the idea of setting special places aside “For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People” though and today National Parks are recognized as one of America’s best ideas. We hope that you will join us on the Yellowstone & Grand Teton Beer Adventure to celebrate our health and two very good ideas!

Please let us know if you have any questions about this or any of our epic adventures?

If you have travelled and celebrated with us in the past, please share some comments about your experience here.
