Walk Through Sonoma Wine Country

Our one-day Sonoma Vineyard Walks are the perfect introduction to Sonoma wine country. You get to walk through two vineyards and your group of four or more will have its own professional guide for the day. The day will include lunch and two wine tastings. These walks are also fantastic for group outings such as weddings, corporate bonding sessions, and birthdays.

Winemakers will tell you 90% of the product is made in the vineyard and only 10% is made in the winery. Yet most visitors to wine country never make it out of the tasting room or a winery tour. Walking through vineyards with an expert guide is the best way to enhance your appreciation of wine making.

Sonoma County might not be as well known as its neighbor (Napa Valley), but we think it’s the perfect place for an active vacation within California’s wine country. One reason for this is that it’s still possible to find untraveled side roads and undiscovered wineries in Sonoma County. Secondly, the county is both large and diverse. On a Vineyard Walk, you’ll actually hike through or near the vineyards (generally accompanied by a wine maker or other winery employee). And, in the process, you’ll learn about the wine industry, sample wines, and engage in some enjoyable exercise.

• You can bring your dog! (Note: dogs must be people and dog-friendly, some wineries won’t allow dogs, and others might require a leash. You must tell us in advance if you wish to bring your dog.)
• On a Vineyard Walk, you’ll experience much more than you would by car. The winemakers’ personalities, the local flora and fauna, the views from a nearby ridge top, or even lunch among the vines, are all experiences you wouldn’t have from the seat of an automobile.
