Nate – like many of our Zephyr guides – has roots in the Midwest, growing up near Fargo, North Dakota and in Minnesota. He then headed west for college, graduating in aeronautical engineering from CU-Boulder and getting his Aircraft Mechanics License before moving to Talkeetna, Alaska to work on airplanes. He moved to Montana nearly twenty years ago and worked rebuilding crashed airplanes, met a girl, and settled down. (He and his wife Anne now have two young kids.) He dabbles in construction work, but spends most of his professional time running his rafting company and guiding raft, hiking and mountaineering trips. His favorite things in life are spending time with his family, kayaking, skiing and tacos. (We’re not sure which order those should be in.) Once you have a chance to crack a beer and “shoot the breeze” with Nate, you’ll find that he is as friendly, good-natured, and easygoing as they come!
