We are super happy to welcome Sarah Wolcott to the ranks of Zephyr’s guiding team. We met Sarah at this year’s Wine Bloggers Conference, where she was representing Wines of Uruguay. After a thorough vetting of a large number of guide candidates, Sarah rose to the top.
Sarah comes to us with excellent qualifications:
- She has a minor in Spanish and so will be useful on our tours in Spanish-speaking countries.
- She has an agricultural background (remember that wine making is dependent on grape growing which is simply another form of farming) and a wine-oriented MBA from a school in Bordeaux, France
- She has worked as a whitewater river raft guide and as a ski instructor in both the US and Germany
We are counting on her to uphold the typically high Zephyr standard of our guides and to help bring you, our travelers, an even greater focus on wine on our active wine tours.
Sarah will first guide for us in her home state on our Oregon Multisport Wine Adventure and then will be sent to Puglia in October for our Puglia Biking Adventure. Come join her!
Welcome, Sarah, and see you in Oregon!
Hi Sarah:
I am a professor of marketing in the College of Business at Texas Tech University and I do research work with colleagues at the Texas Wine Marketing Research Institute (part of the College of Human Sciences).
I have a research project underway for which I need to get responses to an online survey from people who are “involved” in the wine product category. It would seem that wine bloggers would be perfect for this research. Is it possible for us to communicate through your and Zephyr to ask folks to participate in the study? Thanks you very much for considering our request.
Cheers… Dale
Hi Dale,
I will send you an email response. While we can’t communicate to wine bloggers on your behalf or share with you our contact list, I have a few suggestions, which may be helpful.
