Our adventure last October in Peru was the most inspirational journey I have ever experienced.
Peru itself is amazing. You will revel in the Incan engineering feats found in Cusco and the Sacred Valley that rival the Egyptian pyramids. You will love Peru’s cuisine – ranked #1 in the world three years running. And your adventure will culminate in taking one of the TOP FIVE treks in the world through the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu. As is often the case on a Zephyr trip, the great conversations with your fellow adventurers and the locals will be some of the most memorable and meaningful interactions you have known.
But this trip is different from most Zephyr tours. It is designed as an Inspirational Adventure.

I find that with adventure travel, we put ourselves outside our comfort zone. Our minds and hearts are open to “more” – more life, more joy, more inspiration, more health, and more connection. This is why Peru and, more specifically, a trek to Machu Picchu in Peru, is the perfect setting to explore the current research around how to influence health and longevity through meditation, gratitude, food as medicine, and other cutting-edge insights.
Sure, we can do yoga at the gym at home, or take a meditation class with incense burning to create a more spiritual setting. But listen to this traveler from our recent trip:
“Probably the best way to illustrate how truly magical this trip was from start to finish was the moment when we were all sitting in a circle meditating at Machu Picchu, overlooking the mountains in the cloud forest – all connected at a level I didn’t think possible on a trip full of virtual strangers.”
Meditation is gaining popularity as having scientifically sound benefits for your health. But so does exercise, sleep, eating nutritious food, reducing toxic exposures, having balanced hormones and a positive attitude and sense of gratitude in your everyday life. You have a unique opportunity to create a better life at home, in your community, and for yourself – and on this tour, I will provide the foundations to guide you.
The trip is not easy but that is why it is powerful. As another participant wrote:
“The most memorable moment on my trip was the hike to Machu Picchu on the Incan Trail . . . it was challenging, breathtaking, and magical . . . and then the moment you finally reach the Sun Gate and see Machu Picchu for the first time – simply indescribable!”
If you’re ready to be inspired by a culture and landscape impossible to capture with words; if you are looking for more than “just a trip” and want to be truly inspired and challenged to live your BEST LIFE; then I invite you to join me and a group of other adventurers this September 29th -October 5th in Peru!
