Private Group Trekking Adventures

If you are considering one of our Trekking Adventures but either can't make our group departure date or would prefer traveling with your own group, consider our Private Trek option, currently available on both our Peru and Tibet Treks. We are working on adding Patagonia to our Private Trek option.

Group Size
Minimum group size is two. There is no maximum.

Pricing
The price per person is the same as our normal treks. The single supplement of $800 will apply to anyone who requires a single room. Both Tibet (estimated $810) and Peru (estimated $280) have in-country flights that we will purchase for you and bill directly to you. Sleeping bags are available for rent for $75.

Benefits of a Private Trek
Our Private Trek option is an incredible deal because you pay the same price as our regular group treks for your own private group of as small as two people. Additionally, our Private Treks provide you with the full vacation, including pre-trek hotels and most airport transfers. Many treks you can book online only include the trek itself.

Perhaps most importantly, you can have confidence in booking a trek through a reputable American company (that's us!) who has scouted the routes, selected with care our local partners, and run the exact tour ourselves in the past. We know and love the product we are offering you.

What Is Included
The Private Treks include all the same services as our Group Treks with the following exceptions.

• No Zephyr representative will travel with your group. You will be superbly taken care of by our local in-country partners and guides.
• On the Private Tibet Trek, because you will have no Zephyr Representative with you the trek does not include the welcome and farewell dinners in Beijing nor Beijing airport transfers on Days 2 & 11. We will explain to you in advance how to get to and from the airport by taxi.

Deposits, Payments, and Cancellations
Our standard booking policies apply.  To reserve your spot, a $500 deposit is due. Because we must provide payment to our local partners, this deposit is non-refundable seven days after your reservation confirmation.  Your final payment (including local airfare) is due by check 60 days prior to departure and is non-refundable. If you wish to pay by credit card, there is a 3% administrative fee on this balance.

1. Decide if a Private Trek is right for you.  If you have experience traveling internationally, are comfortable with foreign cultures, and have your own travel companions a Private Trek is a good option. If this doesn't apply to you, we suggest you join us on our regularly-scheduled group departures.
2. Thoroughly read the descriptions and itineraries for the trek of your choice: Peru's Inca Trail & Machu Picchu or Tibet.
3. Use our Private Trek Booking Form to book your trip online. We will confirm space availablity with our local partners and then process your reservation and deposit.
