My favorite moment was spending time with others on the trails. I came to skate and enjoy the long routes and it was nice skating with others that wanted something similar. The down time with others was memorable. One of the fastest ways to make friends is to go on a Zephyr trip.

I loved it. This was my 10th Zephyr trip and it was my favorite. I loved the hiking & biking, it's a great way to come back in fantastic shape! The workout was inspiring knowing that up ahead there's always another great village with fantastic vistas, food and wine. I called this my FIT-aly trip! The scenery along the trails was spectacular.

Favorite Moment? Hard to choose, there were so many. I loved surviving the technical mountain biking with minimal damages, I loved finishing the Grand Tetons bike ride and wanting to go further, I loved getting off of the bike after Beartooth Pass and being able to say I did it. But I also learned so much about beer and beer making, that I now can carry on conversations at all levels. It was all wonderful.

There were many wonderful moments. The barge, which allowed for communal time, alone time, excellent dinners and breakfasts. The skate to Harlingen, the skate to Medemblik, interacting with sheep for the first time in my life. If I had to make a commercial moment of the trip, I guess I would choose the morning when we skated past a barn. Out came a very excited boxer puppy, her sibling, a black and white goat, and their owner shod in real-live Dutch wooden clogs!

What a great trip! I had no expectations... it's such a huge state and there are so many variables... Who will come? What will the weather be like? How will I perform? But it was absolutely wonderful and I'm so glad I did it!
