"That was the best trail I have ever skated." So said Idaho Adventure participant Jeff Fass, who has been on seven Zephyr trips and has been skating for over a decade. Jeff's comments were echoed by Ralph Clayton, who has been on 20 (!) Zephyr trips and said "This was the best skating of any tour I have done."

The featured gem of our Idaho tour is the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes, a 73-mile paved trail that is only a few years old and runs much of the way beside rivers, along lakes, and away from all roads. This is probably the single best inline skating trail we have found in the world and we skate on it for three of our five days.

The other two days we spend on the Centennial Trail, which runs 53 miles from Spokane, Washington to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and the Fish Lake Trail near Spokane. We use three separate hotels in three towns: historic mining town Wallace, Idaho; riverside town Post Falls, Idaho, and modern Spokane, Washington. This gives us a great overview of this area, definitely an overlooked treasure as far as natural scenery.

In fact, you will be pleasantly surprised at all this area has to offer. Northern Idaho is full of forests, rivers, and lakes. There is interesting history wound up in the small towns we visit. The people are friendly and, most importantly, the skating is oustanding. If you are ready for some of the best skating you have ever done, come join us in Idaho!

Accommodations
We stay our first two nights at the Wallace Inn. The hotel is within walking distance of everywhere in the small, historic town of Wallace and sits right on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene. We then move to our second Idaho hotel, the Red Lion Templins Hotel. The hotel is located in Post Falls, Idaho, directly on the Spokane River. Again, we are only a few blocks from the Centennial Trail! Our final destination is across the border in Spokane,Washington (capital of the Inland Empire) at the Oxford Suites Hotel, once again right on the trail.
