Peru Private Trek
Peru, an extraordinarily diverse country, is home to part of the Andes mountains, a beautiful arid coast, and a large part of the Amazon rainforest. With all of this diversity, it’s no wonder people want to visit here. In addition, Peru is home to Machu Picchu, one South America’s oldest ancient civilizations, and, and iconic location for foreigners to see.
Treks and Routes
We love Peru and the hikes to Machu Picchu so much, that we offer multiple types of tours in this region.
If you’re looking for the standard, “hike to Machu Picchu” experience, and are in decent shape, we recommend the Classic Inca Trail Trek. This route will take you via the standard route to the city, through beautiful, high altitude mountain passes and into the city the way most hikers experience it. However, many people find they either want an alternate experience, or a route to the sacred city that requires a little less strenuous effort. If this is the case, the Royal (Alternative) Inca Trail (a secondary trail to the city) is your best option. The Royal Trail was built for Machu Picchu’s rulers, to travel to the city via a more shallowly graded route. While it is stills scenic and beautiful, The Royal Trail is also easier on the knees!
If you want to see the countryside and small native communities of Peru, you should consider our Sacred Valley Trek which takes you through through gorgeous Peruvian mountains and villages and ends at the beginning of the Classic Inca Trail. We recommend you combine this trek with the Classic Inca Trail trek or the Royal Inca Trail Trek to complete the experience!
Details About The Private Trek Option
If you want to see these wondrous locations with your own private group, our Private Trek is your best option. However, you need a party of at least two people to schedule a Private trek with us. There are a couple of ways a private tour can be organized with our company.
For example, if you are comfortable getting from place to place and negotiating your way around a foreign country, you might opt for our Sacred Valley Trek, in which we meet you in Cusco. You take care of the transportation, and we’ll take care of the hikes.
Conversely, you may opt to be guided from the Lima airport and back. The main advantage with this option is that your entire itinerary and all your travel plans are set up for you. You don’t have to spend all the time figuring out where you’re going to stay or where you’re going to go. This a great option for people who don’t have the time for planning up-front.
